With the application of perpendicular magnetic recording technique, storage density of computer hard disk substrate has been made great progress. At the same time, flying height of the magnetic head has to be lowered, which demands the reduction of surface roughness (Ra) of hard disk substrate.
The research is focused on ultra-fine polishing of computer hard disk substrate (including Al-Mg substrate and glass substrate). We keep close cooperation with national biggest manufacturer of hard disk for a long time. The results show that surface Waviness (Wa) and Roughness (Ra) have arrived world advanced level (like Japan and USA).
